This team has the components to be specail this season.They should be lead by a talented group of post players.From a far I have watched this team play well and horrible at times.Thay are seasoned group but lack a true leadership,some from this unit has to be vocal and lead by example.They were lacking in this department last season.Ego's,parents,and outside influences should be left outside the gym and find some type of unity. my starters would be K.Powell,L.Taylor.S.Clay,D.Baker and R.Taylor.Are they the best five maybe not,butwith the post play Baker very athletic and Taylor their only shooter.

a fan i say tat is a good five but sumtimes it sees d.baker is a great ball handler but refuses to do so at times but e will c...i believe alicia is great off the bench and it does her well she n r.tyalor r both good plyrs but r.tyalor averaged double figures in evry game she had 17pts against wy ther is no way hopson can start alicia ovr her n at times alicia ball handling is a little suspect.. r.taylor can definitely stretch the defense n open it up 4 l.taylor n powell...brandon is also very suspect at times she seems sumtimes very weak and makes poor decisions tat a pg shudnt make but they all have ther days n it will b a season to watch 4 them

Are you serious R Taylor did not score in double figures every game. In the Marion game L Taylor had 29 the next closest was 9. I am niether parent or sibling of A Johnson but you obviously are connected to R Taylor. I have watched a number of games and I am a person who stays on top of my information. I do not speculate about things I spew facts.R.taylor if you were to check your records you would see Johnson had more double digit games and led the team in scoring more times than R Taylor. I gave facts on all the players not just Johnson. I know basketball and the one thing that effects R Taylors game is she is easily taken out the game mentally and it happens often. If I am the coach I will not start R Taylor.

U are wrong again,not connected just stating facts.the game is situtational and with the post play of von,are you actually stating that johnson feels the void of a perimeter threat.R.taylor season was stronger by far.if you put clay,powell,taylor,baker and johnson on the floor who gives you a perimeter threat.baker nice mid range game,but i have seen plenty of ill advised shots from johnson and taylor.the point i'm making is this a defense will know taylor on the floor,the will let johnson conyinue to shoot. it's hit or miss with that jumpshot.taylor shot selection needs improvement,her ability to stay focused as well.by as the the more polished player I would choose taylor.with the exception of the marion game i think taylor performed admirably.they both need so work.

See every time I give you a fact you change up on me. You stated R Taylor scored in double figures every game and proved you wrong. All I am saying is this R Taylor shot 25% from 3pt land that is not a threat I am sorry. Look up the stats. She stays in foul trouble check the stats, she consistantly loses focus. I am going to give you one more stat look this one up and get back to me R Taylor had 1 double digit game. Compared to Johnson's 7, I will not tell you what R Taylor's turnover ratio is you might start crying. Von needs to go with something new if they want win.

you continue to show your bias as well loyalty to Johnson.you say you have the stats and fact,check again.one double digit game sorry.morgan park,whitney young,team from ohio,several games at hillcrest,and numerous in conference play. you harbor on the mistakes of taylor,but none of johnson's.in a reduced role johnson ability to stay out of foul trouble was evident,her ill advised thinking in believing she's a shooter with horrible perimeter shots.you are obvious a fan,and friend or family memberto johnson.if you so sure of your stats where were you in games taylor played well,i'm just asking.

My comments were not to demean or minimize a player,I hope R taylor enjoys her Senior Year and Von will do great things. I like Von's squad and I hope each player on the team excels in whatever capacity they are given by the coach. Sometimes deabtes can turn into someting negative but that is not my intentions. Here's something all you are missing Vons post was thier weakest link last year. Powell led the team in scoring once and honestly every post she guarded beat her in all categories. Take the Hilcrest game a unknown scored a career high 22pts and countless rebounds not to mention the kid wore regular glasses. Von has to get some heart and disipline across the board before they can contend. I suspect things will be status quo with this Von team because coach hopson lacks the ability to make this team accountable for their actions.
