Queen of Peace High School is an all girls Catholic school for those of you that don't know. Queen of Peace students usually succed in softball and soccer at the most part. Well Queen of Peace also has a basketball team which most dont know about because you rarely hear about them because they don't really havea winning record. Coach Fedaricky aka coach Fed started at Peace last year he is the varsity coach. From research and what most people have been talkin about when they hear the name Queen of Peace basketball team the Pride they think what a horrible team. last year they didn't do so bad but this year the program has dropped we blieve that peace does not care about the basketball program anymore. Fed had put five freshmen on te varsity team thi year who look like they haven't played a game of basketball ever well actually look like they never picked up a ball in there life. Nevertheless their high scorer is a freshmen (who we don't know the name of and to colleges no need to have your eye out for this one either) but the point is that of course she is beacuse if u stay in the game enough sooner or later your shots will fall but for this one it takes at least 300 shots till it drops the other 4 are horrible except for one now i'm not really sure what her last name is but her first is Carla n she is an outstandin def. player you may want to keep you eye on this one but the other 3 i don't think should have even made the freshmen team over there because i have seen their freshmen team play and anyone one of those players could beat them and i'ms ayin one of the girls on freshmen vs. all 3 of them they would still lose because it almost hurts to watch them ruin the game of baskeball. now we have talked to Ctaie Kopko before but she didn't know who we are she thought we were just some fans on the other team well when we talked to her she said " The basketball program at peace is painful to watch the freshmen and Jv team are the pride of the school we do have to bring the pride back after varsity hits the floor." now i know you might think well of course she would say this because she only made the Jv team but the fact is we have talked to a couple of parenst on the varsity team and all of them agree that Catie should have made the varsity team over those freshmen when we asked Catie if there was anyone else that should have made varsity she said " well there are a lot of good players at peace that aren't given the chance but i wold say Erin H Janessa G and Melissa M" she also said that " i think that the seniors are the nest players though and should be given the chance" so in the end peace is program is falling

Why should Queen of Peace be any different than MacAuley. I am a long time MAC fan that has suffered through the introduction of Fed jr. to the MAC varsity team. Two and a half years ago the MAC freshman A team went undefeated, its JV team won conference and tournament, and the Varsity made the sectionals and a year prior to that the Supersectional. In comes Coach Fed. and everything changes. The Fed. coaches, both father and Son, ran the Maria basketball program into the ground and they are well on their way to bringing the same level of basketball to both Queen of Peace and MacAuley. For goodness sake, the point guard for the MAC Freshman team of 2003/2004 didn't even make the team this year, even though she handles the ball very well and makes very good decisions when on the floor. I attended one game this year where the starting forward took three shots and did not even hit the backboard. All of the guards, except one, are extremely slow and consistently committed turnovers. So maybe after the Feds ruin basketball at these two schools, maybe they will go to Marian Catholic, Fenwick, Benet, and Marist to do the same thing. Maybe this is a plan by the Catholic School System to bring parity to girls basketball by allowing the Federicis to make every team BAD!!! But for the moment, the only good basketball on the southside of Chicago is at Marist.

To "DID I DO DAT" no their not talking about Fred Kopko the coach of the Chicago Jaguars. Fred Kopko is a coach with a winning record and consists of being known to AAU teams all over the country for being a well grounded hard team with the boys AAU team and the girls who we are expecting great things from. He is also asisted by hall of fame basketball and football player Marty Murry who lead his team to the final four in college.
The boys AAU team placed second in nationals last year just loseing from a last second shot. This year we are expecting great things to happen from the girls AAU team The Lady Jaguars if you say.
They have some of the best players in chicago nameing some Catie Kopko,Melissa Thompson,Stephanie Cooper,Dominque White and ect... All who are known to to be keeper to the courts with other on there team too.
These girls really say something about girls basketball and from reserch we also heard that they may be getting two new girls Becca Hecker and Erin Hacker which be a great add. We have seen these girls play and they also make magic happen on the court the both attend Queen Of Peace High School with Catie Kopko and these three girls are not given the chance to show what they really can do like we see here in AAU.
So people who haven't heard of the Chicago Jaguars becuase of there boys team and for those who have well you are surely going to hear a lot more about the Lady Jaguars.

Welcome to Fed. basketball in Chicago. They think that by sacrificing a couple of seasons while their young players develop they will eventually produce a champion. How many Championships have they won in your lifetime? I've seen many of their teams play over the years and one thing is consistent, they are all terrible. Either they choose the wrong Freshmen to develop or they have other motives when coaching a team. As it was at Maria, if a kid has no ability and/or talent, they don't belong on the team. Their coaching system is destined to continue losing and this is unfair for BB players who would like to win and show some school pride. If your daughter is a BB player, send her to Marist, Marian Catholic, or any where the Feds are not coaching!!! Maybe at the schools that you speak of the Athletic Directors brought in these coaches to lose so that Volleyball will be the number one sport at MacAuley and Softball and Soccer will be the number one sport at Peace!!! How about that?

No ,

The reference is to the Federici Father/Son team. They Coach Varsity at Queen of Peace (old Man Fed.) and MacAuley (lil boy Fed.) There is also a daughter who coaches. Just look at any of the Southside Girls Basketball teams in the Catholic league that are major embarassments to the sport and One of them will have some association with the team. They established themselves by leading Maria to unheard of heights and were rewarded with their current jobs. When Old man Fed Coached Maria Varsity and Lil boy Fed. coached the JV, they probably averaged 2-5 wins per season, maybe more.
