The ECI team defeated Chicago Hoops Express in the Maine West Observation Tournament in CHE's 5 game of the day.

CHE crushed ECI when they played at the end of July.

Hope Elam is a good player but not in the league of any of the top 10 '07's in the Chicago area.

well the season has started and Champaign Central is 4-0 and Hope Elam is at 16 points, 11 rebounds, 3 blocks, 2 steals per game. i know there is a perception that the Chicago metropolitan area has superior talent. however with Allie Lindeman and Enice Gill Champaign Central has 3 All- Stae players on the same team. for all of you doubters see you in Bloomington in the finals. bye the way Amanda Thompson plays hard and is a great player but her handle and shot is no where as good as Hope Elam's. also Hope is only a junior and still has another year left.
