I asked my husband the other day what he thought about the war, since he had to go. He told me that while the principle was noble, there was going to be hell to pay because of the fact that we do not have a perfect army, that we are weak in some areas, and had we gone in with
a good infrastructure, we might not be waffling now. He has seen the good and would like to stay the course. He also said this was a sign of one of the prophecies of America being so weak morally that we would not be able to fight our enemies.

The usual about mileage...
