Subject: its not really a true horror....
In reply to: Chuck in ND 's message, "I don't care for horror" on 13:13:23 03/14/05 Mon

movie.
I'm not sure if you know anything about it so forgive me if I tell you what you already know.
There is this disease that wipes out most of the world's population. The surivors start having dreams about......well I'm dont think I will tell you that. Well a lot of them end up at this old ladys house(she is the chirstlike figure in the movie). They all know they have to go to this certain town were other good people will gather to wait for THE STAND which is against this really really evil dude who has followers of his own(he is the saten like person).
Its a story about how many good people willing sacrafic themselfs so others can live and to stand up against evil.

I was really suprized by this film when I first saw it. I didnt want to see it because I dont like horror show unless it is something like Sings, The Sixth Sense, or The Village...But its not really like the typcal horror show.
It has this incredable message that made chivers go up and down my spine.

But if this is a movie that might bother you you might ask someone who is really close to you to give you much more detail before you take anyones word for it before you even consider watching it.

I really liked it and I really dont like horror shows.
If it were to be a movie on the big screen I would rate it pg 13...but I havent seen it in a while so I might have forgotten some of what is in it....It is SIX hrs long!

Steven King had another movie and I know I'm going to buther the spelling. The Langeleers. its creepy and usually with the horror shows but its really not...well it is closer to being a horror show then THE STAND.

anyways
Its just an interesting flick....if you ever had six spare...which I doubt...I dont have that much time in any one day either!....It might be something you could cuddle up to your dh and watch.
:D
But I bet you could think of something you would much rather see...something that wouldnt creep you out so much!

Movies dont creep me out so much anymore...but there are several movies that have come to our theatre that I wouldnt watch...The most resent...Sideways!
My friend who is very very very liberal came out of that show mad as a hornet that some parents had brought their kids to this show...it was that nasty and it takes a lot to have her say a movie is nasty!

Well I gotta go.
OH! could you tell me what movie with GCScott you are talking about? I'm a bit dense sometimes.
Ok most of the time!
LOL
:-}

Blessings
Jean
