In reply to: Bee 's message, "what do you eat now?" on 16:53:43 04/11/05 Mon

I am in the process of cleaning up my neglected kitchen (found out today that my mother is coming on Thursday), soooooo....I will post one in the next day or so.

Quote by Bee:
"My aunt has had so many tremendous spiritual experiences, and while I never discussed it with her, I have talked about it with my mother and we believe it is because she doesn't live to eat, she eats to live and serve the Lord."

I believe this...I was begining to experience the same and was going into the same attitude. I believe that following the W of W has MANY spiritual blessings that one receives when one sincerely has the disipline to fall in line with the desire of the Lord. So many of us live and dwell on the don'ts and don't truly live the does. It pushes you into different spheres of understanding. When I was truly inline, there was such a spiritual power I felt...it is very hard to explain...you really have to experience it to understand. About the closest that I can explain it, is the power that you feel as a full time missionary, when you are really living close to the Lord and relying on Him for your every move. I really do think that I fell because of pride and it is going to take totally humbling myself to get it back.

One thing that I got out of conference, that I think is going to help was the bit by Elder Nelson about kindness. I cried when I heard the story about the paper boy who hung himself and vowed then and there that I am going to be kinder and seek out situations where I can show kindness. I'm afraid it's not in my nature and something I have to work at. That talk has haunted me ever since I heard it and I have come to realize that I need to implement it into every facett of my life....NOT EASY!!!!!!
