I dunno...in terms of the UN global peace and security has been a failure. Remember the reason for the Korean Cease Fire and the Vietnam War was to defeat communism and drive it back. In the 80s in Afghanistan, one of the underreported things the Soviets were doing were kidnapping children and taking them back to Russia. There they were taught a hybrid Marxism that integrated Islam
into it.

Also, in the Koran the middle ground is to tax the infidel
if they refuse to convert. Everyone thinks Thomas Jefferson was an open minded Deist. He wasn't. He had a copy of the Koran so he could understand Islam in order to defeat the Barbary Pirates which we had paid tribute to and who were still enslaving Americans. Once he stood against them to protect shipping and trade with France and Italy and other countries who had Mediterranean ports, they ceased hounding us.

Now as to foreign policy; I see no difference between securing our peace and freedom by teaching others about
self governance to live righteously by choice instead of God by government because someone with a gun says I have to believe a certain way.

The difference to me is huge.
