Still, a reminder if I may that one of my first few posts within this thread spoke to this issue as it relates to news of the day regarding illegal immigration.

The news about our National anthem is for it being translated for the purpose of being sung by those in this country, within the context of discussions on immigration (i.e., those desirous of being here as American citizens).

That may help us back to parts of center, or not.

Yes, Christ may have a vote in this were He here. In His absence, I stay in full respect of your choice to view these discussions that way, Jean. But I personally prefer thinking we're okay to express our opinions on topic. Form this side of the screen--every morning we wake good and full, whole and kind, regardless our disparte views. Otherwise, everyone need join me to be fully respectful of President Bush (insert laughter, please).

Aliens on Mars may sing it in their language should they please; goats high in the Andes may learn to bleat it from mountain peaks should they desire.

Singing it in another voice or language and translating it with purpose show differences and maybe intent. To me. It's my preference it remains officially in English. After all, God is not the author of confusion. Right?
