from the time I was old enough to vote until this last presidential election(I changed before hand) I was a registered repub....but before the last election I became a registered dem.
I truely beleave that if Kerry or Gore had been president things would have not gone to the extreams that they have under Bush...because a Republician congress would NOT have let a dem president get away with the things Bush has gotten away with. They are blinded by what they think they see in him(Bush).
They see a man who claims to be a praying, bible beleaving christian..the answer to all their prayers...but I submit he is a wolf in sheeps clothing and very good at it at that!
At least with a dem in the white house there will be watch dogs watching and things will go more slowly.
There are more things that I have in common with the dems now then with the now repubs(is it just me or did the two parties do a flip flop between the two about 6 to 8 yrs ago?)(what I mean it seems like the now dems are like the old repubs and the now repubs are like the old dems...am I making any sense?). It seems now its the dems that are for more personal freedom then the repubs...and are more willing to protect those freedoms then the now repubs.
anyway......My personal political views are somewhere between The Democratic, Libertarian and Constitutional parties.
I guess I just have a bad, bad, bad taste in my mouth for the republician party and their willingness to blindly follow this Bush person...Like I said If a Democractic Pres had tried to do any of the things this current pres has done well there would have been heads rolling.
Just because the man claims to be a bible beleaving, praying man does not make it so...what is it the scriptures say...by their fruits you shall know them?
Now does that mean I think the Dems are a better group?
It just means that I think right now if the choice is between the Dems and the Repubs I would have to choose the Dems.
I do like most of the views of the libertarian party...not all...but most.
dont throw those rotten veggies at this registered dem...OK?
six million things I have to do tomorrow....need sleep
