did you respond? What did you say? Any response back?

I'm sorry I never added more--I've had a crazy 2 wks or so. I've thought about it, there was so much that was just plain wrong here--the history, for starters. There would have been no WWII if it weren't for our meddling in WWI. I've recently read some fascinating stuff on our involvement in WWI--looks like GWB got some first rate lessons on how to get into a misguided, illegal, immoral war from Wilson.

Exprience has shown us that there is not one single case where our intervention left the world better off. WWII gave us the cold war with it's Communist atrocities, spies, huge growth in gov and gov spending, Viet Nam, Korea, nuclear stand off, Pol Pot, Sandanistas, etc ad infinitum, ad nauseum. Our intervention in Iran gave us the Ayatolla, intervention in Iraq gave us Sadam, intervention in Libya gave us Qadaffi (or however he spells his name these days) We can't even get it right in the small countries: intervention in Haiti gave us Papa Doc, Baby Doc, Aristide. And don't forget our success in Panama, ending with the illustrious Noriega. Intervention in Philippines gave us Marcos. Intervention in Indonesia gave us Sukarno and the genocide of East Timor, etc ad infinitum, ad nauseum

Then there are the philosophical reasonings: It is the state of this telestial world that there will be evil and suffering. Don't you think God sees what is happening and abhors it? And yet even God Himself does not intervene. Maybe He too knows the futility of force. But we (the US) will presume greater wisdom than God and do what He will not.

Constitutional reasoning: The Constitution does not authorize this kind of meddling. The Founders repeatedly warned against it.

There are so many angles to this. Just wondering where you went with this.
