Subject: Hey, I'm a genuine bona-fide war protestor!

During Vietnam I was in high school... I've always had strong poltical beliefs, very patriotic, and at the time I didn't understand the Vietnam war, I only understood that America was scorning the poor soldiers, burning the American flag and smoking joints made out of cigarette papers that looks like flags. I remember hippies with the flag sewn onto the butt of their jeans. Like I said, I was a patriotic little girl at a time it was not popular to be patriotic.... so once I went to downtown Santa Fe where there were war protestors, and I protested the protestors. They were walking one way around the plaza, I walked the other way so that they could read my signs opposing them. Cars got all excited, and started honking for me. Some got out and joined me. I went into the woolworths acrossed the street and bought a big pad of paper, and made signs for the cars, and taped them on to the cars of all the people that were honking for me, and they drove around and around the plaza. The TV station came down and got it on tape... that night I had to make sure my parents did NOT watch the news... cuz I was ditching school!

LOL-- so I am a bona fide protestor, althought today I don't think I would be protesting for the same side of the argument!

Kathy
PS, I also wouldn't have to hide it from my parents. I don't have to ditch school any more! hehe
