...the southwestern part where I lived is or was VERY rural with gentle rolling hills and farmland(I havent been there in almost 20yrs).

I live in eastern KY now. LOVE it. Forested mountains...or what they call mountains here are beautiful and the people are much, much, much more friendly then anywhere I have lived before(Michigan, Utah, Indiana and South Carolina...well SC was a very close 2nd to KY).

When you live in the south like this you get use to talking to anyone and everyone without even knowiing them....but try that in Michigan or Indiana and they look at you like there is something wrong with you.

I just love it here.

Is Midland over near Detroit? Its been a long time and I never really was on that side of the state much. Never left Middleville much...very small town and being raised by grandparents didnt make for a life of travel....until I left for college and marriage.
