When I homeschooled, it was a very unusual thing to do. I was the only parent in my ward to do so... in fact, my son's girlfriend (they were both in 5th grade) was very upset because she wouldn't be able to marry him when they grew up... because she was going to marry a BYU graduate, and everyone knew that if you home schooled, your kids would be ignorant people who couldn't get into BYU.
