Subject: We should be thankful!!! Its our 'privelege of driving' tax, isn't it???
In reply to: Jean 's message, "WHY?!!!!!" on 13:20:29 08/17/05 Wed

We are lucky that we are even allowed to drive. Driving is NOT a right, its a privelege. I learned that in public schools! Hooray for me!!! SO, we should be more than willing to pay high gas prices since its our civic duty! We're all doing our part in a friendly, secure, and ordered society! : )

I just went for a few days to Williamsburg, VA. Its about a 5 hour drive from where I live and it costs about $30 in gas one way. I'm moving out west soon and I have to save up a ton of money just to get there. If I didn't need my car, it would be extremely cheaper to fly.

Its kindof like those "privelege of working" taxes. They have them where I live. People are more or less driven to neo-traditional work to just pay for the most simple things essential to human survival... then they tax you for having the 'privelege' to work. I didn't realize that I was being allowed by my government to LIVE.

The prices are only going to get higher. They may never come down. Its one more thing that we can add to our second Declaration of Independence under 'abuses and usurpations'. Just write it down so that we remember when that time comes.

Don't be fooled for one second, either... the price of gas could easily be at least $1 cheaper in a week if they wanted to, by simply cutting the taxes on the stuff. But they don't and won't... does anyone find it peculiar that they refuse to help us out like that??? They don't care about us.

Still,
Tasting The Blood
