I wonder--can you refer us to specific websites? I'd like to read more.

We lost our garden to hail this year. It wasn't that big--marble to nickel sized--but was wind driven and came in two waves. It stripped leaves from virtually everything, (I have no idea how many of our trees will survive the winter now), made holes in our vinyl siding and destroyed the best garden I've had in years. I was in mourning for 2 wks over my garden and all the new trees we'd planted. :o} It was very isolated--a mile to the west of us and a mile to the east, everything was wiped out, but across the road from that one mile mark, the fields were untouched. Our's was the only house in that 2 mi area. If I were suspicious enough I might suspect we were targeted :o)

I know that there are some counties in ND that have tried cloud seeding, but I'd read that it wasn't reliable enough for the expense and that there were still plenty of areas that got unexpected hail.

Hmmmmm....
