I've been in disciplinary councils where the offender was excommunicated. I've also been in disciplinary councils where the offender was put on probation. Both were for the same crime--abortion. Why would the Lord work that way if intent was not a factor?

In the D&C 138, it tells us that God will judge us according to our works, and according to the desires of our hearts. If it weren't for that, I would have given up long ago.
