that your intent was to point out what you preceive as hypocracy...(however it's spelled.) You're right.. there IS a mote in my eye. In fact, there are more than one. Sometimes, I declare, I don't know how I can see. All these motes.

Your post did some good in that it reminded me that it was about time to invite Eppy back, as I had promised her. As you can see, I have done so. Thanks for the reminder.

Now it appears you want me to be more politically correct.

You know, political correctness means always having to say you're sorry. I'm just not into political correctness at all.

In political discussions you can imagine it with several suited people surrounding a table, stating their parts with dignity and calm. Like on a TV show. Problem is, I always turn those tv shows off. I like the discussions that have a little passion, some laughter... I like to be a bit irreverent sometimes. In fact, it provides me with some relief from the pain of the genuine situation.

So I reserve the right to poke fun at any public figure I want. I may call them names. I may roll my eyes at them, or laugh out loud. So be it. They choose the limelight, it is theirs, with ALL the accompanying cheers and jeers.

I will not, however, call members of the forum names, or treat them with the same cavalier treatment. I promise to respect the individual, although I may not respect their opinion.

Being courteous to other posters is a basic rule of this forum. Not making anti statements about the church is another. But I refuse to set any guideline saying people cannot scoff at public figures.

Perhaps I am wrong in this... if so, I will have to grow a little.... in my own time. That doesn't appear to be now.
Because I don't see it as you do. Perhaps you're just way ahead of me.

KathyT
