Wouldn't this whole Mitt Romney thing, especially if elected, cause a major polarization? Good and bad? It seems to me that more people may "loosen up" their feelings for the church, but it also seems like the die-hard critics (who already know almost everything about the church) will see this as an opportunity to turn things up a notch. I don't like communism and if we elected an open communist, I'd probably react more harshly than I would have had a communist not been elected.
