Sunday, November 23, 9:00am ~ Hike ~ Section 7 of the M-M Trail (Skinner Mountain and the Seven Sisters ~ Notch Visitor Center ~ This hike ascends 1-1/2 miles to the Summit House and traverses the ridge line from Route 47 to Route 116. With a series of repeated ascents and descents, some loose or rocky footings, and a 6-mile length, this is considered a difficult hike, but one that will reward the participant with terrific views and good exercise. It offers dramatic views in all directions from the Summit House and Bare Mountain and terrific views northerly along the ridgeline. The hike will be approximately 6 miles in length, mostly along the ridgeline. Bring water, a snack, good hiking footwear, and your camera. Plan to do the December 14th hike (see below) and you will have hiked the entire ridgeline of Skinner Mount-Mount Holyoke Range. Meet at the Notch Visitor's Center at 9:00am. Hike Leader: Richard Harris (413) 335-5012 RLenHarris@hotmail. com
