Don't you people in the station dept understand why it is that we have such poor supervisors and managers. There appears to be a common variable that links the supervisors and managers together, and that is a lack of higher education. How many employers do you know that hire people to be managers and supervisor without some type of college education. The answer is not many. On the very first day of training for my position with the transit authority I notice a lack of professionalism in the instructors. I chalked that up to being an anomaly. But after a few weeks of training I realized that some of the supervisors don't have the logical and critical thinking skills that employees in management should have in order to instruct other employers. After several years of contact with station dept managers and supervisors I have painfully concluded that the presumption of management personnel that I have had contact with are devoid of any type of management skills. In other words, they are stupid as stupid gets.
