 經常提及五班賽係最好落注場合，因為分野太大，跟本有好幾隻係原全唔駛睇，而在四班有過好賽績落到五班已是一隻老虎！今次第一場五班賽便有三兩隻此類馬。
第一場五班1600米 得寸進尺-上季在姚廄新馬賽常近，今季轉到冷門馬房文廄，上場1000米同幾隻特大老虎跑所以腳軟，今次對手同上次差天共地，操練亦同上次係兩回事，超班貨在此！
權生威-其實一早操起，早輪試一課谷草大閘走勢極佳！但看走勢谷草較合，會否等谷草1650或1800呢？所以今場只宜作配。
將神二號-論質數此場大超，但馬主好似冇乜運，而練者會否留給冼仔先食呢？
首騎士-論近績最好一隻，但馬房上名太低，而且今場亦會熱門。
城市之寶-班底高，但老退。齊心-未得。做到最好-未到最好，三四之選。新皇朝怕出得太密。喜駿-等谷草先諗。
潛龍伏虎-幾個大師傳爭騎，由吳廄轉去胡廄之馬通常實有好表現！而馬亦係一隻識贏又減分減到大把係手！操練又似一出即搏。
最後總結，此場12.潛龍伏虎可以做膽，得寸進尺為次選，加埋首騎士、將神二號。
