Author: Julie [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 00:58:12 01/17/03 Fri Hey Everyone I know that I just wrote a note but then I read everyone elses since I last was on which is some time ago, and I felt that I should write a more personel note. I hope that you all had a nice and refreshing break over Christmas and New Year I know I enjoyed it. I really have been thinking back at the good times and the hard times of last year and I really do miss serving God all the time not being distracted by my work and studies! Although I have to say that God has been providing me with fantastic opportunties, the guy I share an office with, Barry, is asking loads of questions please pray for him, and I was knocking on doors to ask people to come to tea break about 2 weeks ago and this guy asked me if I had a minute he wanted to ask me something, I was wondering what he wanted and he said that he had made a new years resolution to read some classic books like Shakespear and Dickens and the Bible, but he didn't know which version of the Bible to get, he to is from a Catholic background but he said he didn't want a Catholic Bible!! I was blown away God is handing me opportunities on a plate! That guys name is Tadhg (said Tag), he did say to me as I was leaving don't worry Julie I am not going to find God or anything, I wanted to say something but God knew better and closed my mouth. Please pray that God would open his scriptures to this guy and show him Himself, that Tadhg would be transformed from a relationship with God! All that is the good side the bad side is my quiet times are unregular and unglorifying to God, He has been so faithful to me and I have been faithless. Please do pray I am weak from the battle and God is saying to me to put on the armour before I go out to fight each day but each piece is put on with prayer, therefore therefore I must be close fellowship with the Lord or I get injured from the fight! This is probably sounding very abstract! Sorry. I was listening to a Piper tape on Sunday and he said: "UNTIL WE BELIEVE THAT LIFE IS WAR WE WILL NOT KNOW WHAT PRAYER IS FOR". Anyway after all that I think I should get back to work. I'll catch up with you all soon, I hope. Elz I think we are going over different weekends, which is a realy bummer I won't get to see you or the man!!! I hope you have a great time. See you later.
