Author: Lorien [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 07:16:45 03/07/03 Fri Ok I'm needing help on deciding a name for my new horse(in Real Life). Here are her stats. Grace 6yo 15.3 1/2hh Mare Registered Sport Horse Thoroughbred Black Small Cresent Star on forehead I don't know her Sire or Dam's name Her Story: She was Omish Trained and brought here to GA by a well know Dressage judge/trainer, Susan Dye. My friend, Kelly, rode her last summer out at Hard Labor Creek on one of the "Wild Midnight Rides" that they went on and fell in love with her. Kelly bought her pretty much on the spot and took her home. She had her trainer working with her but she and Grace just didn't get along. The girl that lives in teh Barn, Lee Ann, was asked to ride her for 30 days and asses her on her training. Lee Ann did and thought that Kelly needed something a bit more quiet. So Kelly decided to try and sell her last November. I rode Grace around the middle of Feb. and fell in love with her. I rode her almost 2 times a week(as much as I could, the barn where she is is 30min from my house/barn). She likes to get fussy at the Canter but she hadn't been riden since Oct. Her little fussiness was to back up or to give lil crow hops just to be a TB Mare. I rode her(Intro B, no canter work) at a Pony Club Ride-A-Test meet last sunday(3/2/03)and got several compliments on how patient I am with her and how wonderful of a rider I am on her. Also that day a Father of my friend, Randy, decided to try her out to try and make Grace a Polo Pony. (When I rode her I rode her Dressage, and soon as I ride her more I was going to turn her into an eventing horse!) That night I went home and Begged my mother to help me save Grace from becoming a Polo Pony, because she has so much more potential. My mother agreed that Grace could come to our home and be my graduation present(you can only imagine how happy I was!). So here's the Paradox. I'm needing a name that fits her/and the situation.Should her name be one of the following, or do you have a better Idea? Grace Under Fire or Saving Grace So post below and help me.
