She walked with an uneasy arrogance - was arrogance allowed here, would it falter beneath the presence of the Wytti? - and even then, her customary swagger was gone. The air was sweet in her lungs, rejuvinating her muscles far more than sleep would have, and she gave herself over to simply enjoying the moment, forcing her mind to stop whirring at an uncontrollable pace. Her hand felt odd without a dagger however, and she clutched it more a moment, staring in bemused idiocy at the empty fingers for a moment before continuing on her way. Well, here she was – this was it, an actual attempt at respect, after all those years of jeers. Cursing her freehearted mother mildly, she paused for a moment outside of the glade, closing her eyes, mentally silencing the taunts.

Today, it might actually not matter if she HAD been born to a vagabond and not her mother’s husband. Dallying by the birches, she glanced nervously in the direction of where the litter would be, pushing back her shoulders in a motion that said better then any words - here I am, and I know myself. The arms of the cobalt tunic she wore were flared, and fluttered at her wrists, meant to conceal weapons, but today nothing more than mere decoration. So far so good – she patted the pouch slung over her back to make sure it contained the pheasants she had killed and the brightly colored fake blue jay. Thus prepared, she stepped in the actual glade where Cariad and her litter resided, and was immediately humbled.

Cariad and Llynmynydd were from some dream, or perhaps a nightmare. So startling was the realization that there were, and are, creatures who would always be much more commanding of presence and beauty than her, Kendra dipped her head, ashamed of her childish arrogance. However, her curiosity overcame her and she lifted her head, watching the litter with a delight not usually seen in the young woman’s bright silver eyes. So intrigued was she by the young ones, that she was silent until her brother’s heavy hand came to rest on her shoulder, a comforting weight, and he began to speak.

“Hail, Cariad and Llynmynydd, Jallya and Terrun. I am Rhaki, and this is my sister, Kendra. We come is congradulations and greetings - your litter is beautiful, and all will, of course, grow to be as wonderful as yourselves.” With a winsome smile he gave his sister’s shoulder a squeeze before dropping it, letting her know that it was her own turn to speak, but never once peeling his dark silver and blue eyes from the scene unfolding before him.

“I hope it is not out of custom, but I brought you a gift – four pheasants. There was a predator amongst them, which I frightened away when I approached, and these four were injured enough so that I could kill them quickly with my dagger.” Almost shyly placing them on the ground, she then turned her eyes to the litter with an almost wistful expression.

“May we stay to visit with your children?” Rhaki added, glancing up to the Dwi and Wytti before him. “In all truthfulness, it would please me greatly to stay for a while. I can’t call myself urbane and I suppose I have very little tact, but I’ll do my best not to offend you.”

Leaning her head against her brother’s shoulder, Kendra curled close to him in the manner of siblings which have been each other’s sole companions for years, a smile of distant joy on her usually harsh and smirking lips. Smiling fondly down at his sister, the young man looked over to the three others who apparently also wished to bond. "Hail.. I can't say that I know any of you, but greetings, and my hope that we grow to know each other!"
