Subject: In response to Maxima "Sick of CI" (deserves a new thread)

Maxima~
I know EXACTLY what you're talking about, lol! I was literally thinking that just today before I got online. I got a new CI MTV Unplugged videotape and popped it in the VCR to watch it as I checked out the boards. It started and there he and Silvertone were, with Johnny Reno even, and I looked at his face on my TV, looked at his face on my computer screen, and suddenly thought, "I'm really sick of your face, Chris". But then I found myself listening to the music and the voice, and saw the thread on the BHB discussing the musical influences of his early work, and my interest rekindled. The unplugged performance is a really good one. I don't remember the source, but I believe it was a fan post I read once that said he was unhappy with the way it went, so he never authorized it to be sold. I don't understand why- I love it! I've heard him in worse voice and the band much less into what they're doing than during that performance.
I completely identify with what you say about getting into all this board stuff, getting sick of the whole thing and saying "Why am I here?" It's just not explainable- blame it on the music, blame it on his appeal... he just grabs ya and won't letcha go. I, for one, surrender...

(This is in response to "Re: Advice will be taken" by Maxima on the lower thread)
