Author: Katherine 'Kitty' Naylor
Subject: Here's a concept that works!

Katherine sat at a table, putting the finishing notes on her new song. It was one she had written herself, and with that, she picked up her acoustic guitar to see what the finish product sounded like.

As her hands ran over the strings for a moment, Katherine waited for the part where her voice would enter. Then, there it was.

Ever watched kids on a merry go 'round? Or listened to the rain slapping on the ground? Ever followed a butterflys eratic flight? Or watch the sun go into the fading night

She paused a bit and waited for the music before she went ot the chorus.

You had better slow down. Don't dance so fast. Time is short. The music won't last.

She played the acoustic guitar meticulously, and her voice on the notes was flawless, it was clear she'd spent most of her life dedicating herself to such things as writing lyrics and music, as well as playing and singing it. Art was Katherine's outlet, she was very much experienced in all areas of it, however, she was a perfectionist when it came to music.

Soon she came to the last part of the song:

When you run so fast to get somewhere, you miss half the fun getting there. When you worry and hurry through your day, it's like and unopened gift...thrown away. Life is not a race, do take it slower, hear the music, before the song is over.

At the bottom of the sheet music, in small letters, she wrote 'Inspired by my life in England and the tragedies that took place, this one is for you.'
