I'm a bass player, and a fan of The Who, and when i heard that John Entwistle had died my heart sank. My bass, my insturment, my love, was signed by John Entwistle long befor i ever started playing it. Because it's my only bass, the signature has worn away some, but now i'm going to seal it to keep it in it's current form. I'm 17 and haven't had the chance to see The Who live, and now i'll never get to see one of my most idolized players. In the videos i've seen of them John was usally a little reserved in his playing, but it wasn't uncommon that i'd see him play something that would drop my jaw. Now that he's gone not only is a great musician lost, one of the greatest bands of all time is, once agian, forever altered.
