It doesn't surprise me that Met Life did that to you. They ripped off my elderly parents for $25,000!!!
They would come and visit and waited until my mom put my dad down for a nap, then they would pressure my mom into picking up the phone and cashing in one fund with Met Life and then pressuring her to buy another one of their funds, thus making them lose money for early withdrawal and having them pay taxes on all that money and Met Life agents would get commission after commission after commission. They did this for TWO YEARS! I kept telling my mom something wasn't right. Poor mom told me that they were 'nice boys' or Christians! I finally got a lawyer involved and it stopped! My dad died before everything was settled.
So, you're lucky!
