In case anyone wants to know, here's the mutual company I've been using for Participating Whole Life.

Topeka insurance company a sleeping giant

I like this company for several reasons, but primarily because they are what I call "responsive" and "agent oriented."

In other words, they answer the phones during business hours with a live body, and you can talk to anyone you need to (including the President, who called me to thank me for my business - something no other company has ever bothered to do).
