In reply to: Neil Spellman 's message, "Police Equipment" on 01:07:41 10/31/02 Thu

I've been collecting memorabilia for over 30 years and I have never seen one available. Mostly because they were just destroyed along with the buildings that they sat in front of.

I have seen many new light poles for sale at businesses that sell outdoor lighting equipment, including "antique-look" poles or stanchions. Normally, they come complete with the globes. You could probably have the word "Police" etched into the glass or painted on, to give it that period-correct look.

Often times, architectures also know where to obtain new equipment like that. They regularly incorporate that type of things into a building & grounds design plan.

Grainy (NT)Try rejuvinators.com or search for wrecking/salvage in the CT. area. There is a huge salvage lot in CT someplace, just can't remember the name.06:22:48 11/02/02 Sat
