My first question about Mojo is has he been neutered? If not, I would start there.

Rather than the disposable pee pads, try getting some of the washable ones. That is all I use and I love them. If he's a hiker, get a big rock, bucket or something to set in the middle of the pad to give him something to aim at.

When you can't watch him, put a belly band on him. Won't train him, but it will save your sanity (and furniture)
