I did think about the kennel or cage theory and it is possible. Little was know about her past, she was picked up by the local pound who called a cc res. ctr. She was extremely skinny & looked so bad they thought she was around 8 yrs old, instead of 4. I believe she might have had pups not too long before she was picked up, because her underside looks kind of like a woman's does after having a couple of kids & breastfeeding.
And she doesn't give any clues to show she needs it other than hiding. She is an awesome, intelligent, very loving, & sweet dog. Hopefully, she'll improve with the pottying. When she has an accident I bring her to it, say NO, then take the poop & her outside & dump it & show her where it should go.
