Many of us follow Dr. Dodd's vaccination protocols and, in addition, more and more vets and animal hospitals are beginning to accept her protocols as well. http://www.wellpet.org/vaccines/dodds-schedule.htm

As for the 3-yr vaccination, that is dependent upon the type of vaccination given...some are 3 yr others 1 yr. You don't mention how old your Crestie is, but she is obviously 7 yrs old at least since you've had her since 2000. I, personally, would either have her titer tested to see if she needed any booster vaccinations (more expensive than simply vaccinating, but WELL worth the extra money spent), or simply do only those vaccinations required by your state/city/county.

I have an epileptic Crestie and he has had no vaccinations since his original ones at the time he came into Crest-Care 2 yrs ago, not even Rabies. His body simply cannot deal with the vaccinations and therefore, I refuse to give them. My vet has provided me with a written statement as to why he cannot be vaccinated for rabies. For all my others, I follow Dr. Dodd's protocols.

Hope that helps some.
