Unless he is showing signs of problems breathing, choking or having problems passing stool, he SHOULD be okay. The problems occur when the substance called "greenies" become like a glue-like substance once they are swallowed. They have had problems with the gooey stuff sticking and adhearing to the dog's esophogus, intestines and stomach lineing. The vet's have taken the substance from dog's throats and it's literally like glue stuck to the lineing of the esophogus. (Sorry about spelling).
Other dogs have had problems going to the bathroom because the stuff lodges inside theie intestines.
If you have a problem, you will know it. Most times they are safe but the problems they CAN cause are so frightening that it's just not worth the risk of giving them to your dog. Please spread the word about this to your dog friends and go to www.greenies.com and complain.
