Last August, my daughter and I adopted a Chinese Crested Hairless (after doing much research). Sweetie is a beautiful palomino tan hairless and lives up to her name.
We now need to give her to a loving, saavy owner. The problem is that the home we adopted her from didn't have a lot of information on her. Most of the things we were told about her weren't true. It's now eight months later and it's apparent we aren't the right home for this wonderful little dog. We've given her excellent care but now she needs a behaviorist and I just can't afford the time (away from work, that is) or the expense. Sweetie has frequent urination (we were told she was trained) although it isn't physical. The vet said we've been doing everything correctly and she would probably get the hang of it and do fine if she was with other dogs. She's in perfect health, has gained the weight she needed to with us, and we've had her teeth scaled. My daughter and I love her but realize we are unable to tend to her growth and development the way we should. I'm away at work for most of the day and she really wants someone to be there for her. If you are interested or know someone that can help, please respond. I don't want her to got to someone that is misinformed about her problems or that won't know how to help her (as we don't). I think it likely she was abused in the past but she's a loving dog.
