I have a shepherd mix from shelter with D mange. Merlin went into remission after months of treatment. My vet used Ivomec injections, wkly, and a dip every other week. Merlin recovered and grew a beautiful long coat. The treatment can make them feel poorly at first, but the results have been amazing. He had another outbreak this year and is currently being treated again so may never be resolved completely. Of course, it is hereditary and no one should ever breed these dogs. Don't know if the cresty can handle this aggressive therapy but is another option. Good luck.
