##1)Your video output might be set to external monitor or video-out in the BIOS settings.

##2)Try if you're able to work with external monitor.

##3) it could be sign of dead CMOS battery, so the BIOS resets to its defaults.

##4) the LCD switch is broken so your screen stays as if the cover is closed.
