Ken,
I posted this as a reply to an earlier post and I wanted your take on it (I am assuming that you are Ken F.,
who sold me my Vivante SE two years ago):

I also would be interested in an update (if you ever find one!).
I have been in contact with the SystemSoft people, who
referred me to another company that now controls the
code. Apparently Transmonde bought the source code to
their BIOS software and modified however they saw fit.
This company does NOT have a copy of the BIOS that
transmonde used.
I have been emailing ASEUSA every week about this for
a while now and they have yet to respond.
FYI, I have a Vivante SE. Aparently there are (at least)
two copies of the BIOS out there. Mine says Copywright
1984-1996, others (newer) say Copywright 1984-1998. I
don't know if the newer ones have the C&T69000 - my
SE has the older C&T65555.
So, in summary, we are screwed :) Unless someone who reads
this can contact ASE directly (*cough* ken *cough*) and have
them at least release the update to us (without warranty, etc.), then I think we are in trouble.
Hope that answers some questions,
LL
