I have used RAIN for quite a while. These days I am running my laptop without it. I found out it wasn't the fan that was making the noise. I was the harddrive.
Now I need some software to park the harddisk. It clicks and clacks about 20 times per minute. I have tried HDSLEEP, but somehow the drive restarts by itself. Perhaps this is because I am connected to the internet all the time.
