As long as the specs match, it should be ok. You'll also need to make sure the receptacle fits correctly. Too big and it won't fit - too small and you'll be running on battery, or worse, it'll short.

Since the port rep is selling for only $50 and the AC adapter is $45, I wouldn't have assumed one was included. T'monde included one, but it also sold for $139.
