Subject: Viventé XL doesn't boot - L2 Cache suspected

Today I had had boot failure on a Vivanté XL after the initializing of IDE, AUDIO and MPEG features on my Vivanté XL. Windows Video never initialized. All I could do was enter setup. Otherwise the machine just showed a black screen with a horizontal cursor on the top left.

The failure seems to have been localized in the L2 Cache memory. The machine boots correctly with L2 Cache disabled. It hangs with L2 Cache enabled.

To me this sounds like a hardware problem. Does anyone know what this could be or how to solve it. Maybe someone knows of any diagnostics tools for this?

Thanks for any help or suggestions anyone might have.
