In "MARINE NEWS" (Journal of the World Ship Society), December 1978 edition, page 626, at bottom of page, is a photo of "W" at Bruges scrapyard in July 1978. Possibly recently arrived, seems `untouched` when photo was taken -
but the cranes are waiting!. View is broad on the port bow, alongside, but (except for said cranes) uncluttered. Photo credit is to Uri Ureel, believe a Belgian member of World Ship Society. Caption reads: "W" 5,345(displacement?)/`04-
training ship. By Secretary of State for Trade to JACQUES
BAKKER & ZN., and left the Thames in tow 8/7/78 bound for Bruges.
I do not, at this time of writing, know who were the owners of towing tug "TEMI IV", but I believe that she was Dutch,
