I arrived at the orpho in 1942, my sisters Sylvia and Norma came on later. My name Jean Black did have the Jamieson in the middle but it was omitted, of course. Did you know that Binks got the sack? Was the matron called Miss Wiffin or maybe she was at Bearwood. Mrs Lewis was also a bit of a monster, I quite liked Taffy Jones but then, he knew my dad who went to Newsham Park, the first orphanage site, is it still there? cheers for now Jamie
