Hello Chalky I was at Wellesley from 1968 to 70 happy days I remember pop gordon very well and especially Tom Henderson, he was a great bloke and in charge of the gardens during my stay whilst mr Gordon was the maths and geography teacher I was also in Drake house and shiped out from Blyth on a ship named The Corstream, she was a general gargo doing the european coast lines, I was a cook on board and loved every minute of her.
What a great place Wellesley was I loved every minute of my stay and ended up living in Wallsend in Newcastle also worked at the corner house restaurant in whitley bay over the road from spanish city fair ground. I was originally from Liverpool and a bit of a lad there so thjey decided to place me up north in blyth to maybee teach me some dicipline, i can only say it worked as I mellowed quite well and now Live in spain on the costs del sol. I frequently look on the web site and find it very interesting to find that all the boys allways talk with the utmost respect and that must be a good thing.Well by for now. TOM.
