Subject: National Nautical School Portishead

Im an ex Anson boy,my bed number was 36. I was there from 1943 to 1944, my P.O's were Bill Ogden,Ron Buttery and Trevor Jones. The main P.O's were Mr Lourie and Mr Peebles, the Captain H.R.Evans,[ex R.N.]. I was in the school Band, starting with the big Drum,Side Drum, Bugle, even got to play the Silver Bugle, finally ending up tossing the Mace.Whilst there, I made quite a few friends.I ended up in the Merchant Navy as Cook.So if anyone was there at that time, and wish to contact me, please do and maybe talk over old times!!
Cheers, Wally Bugden [16/04/04]
