Subject: Lt Col Frank Hilder/Ivernia

Lt col Frank Hilder owned a yacht Ivernia between 1929/1934 He lived at Ingetatestone near Chelmsford. He ran camps for 'poor boys' from Canning Town and East Ham. He may have used the yacht for the boys to do sea training in. Does anyone recall this man or yacht. It was probably kept at Burnham on Crouch and sailed on the River Blackwater. Many local men and boys trained as fishermen and also as crews for the racing yachts at Cowes. Perhaps someone remembers that. Thanks.
