I was at Watts from 1947 until it closed as a sea training school in 1949 when I,together with many other boys, was transferred to the Parkstone Sea Training School in Dorset.I left PSTS in 1951 to join the Rhine Staff Band of the Royal Tank Regiment then based in Hohne, Germany.Other ex.Watts and PSTS boys who also joined the same army band included Geoffrey Poulter,Ted Robyns and Johnny Crackle. Geoffrey Poulter was unfortunately killed in East Germany in the late fifties and is buried in Berlin.
I left the forces in 1965 and worked in local government in Norfolk until I took early retirement in 1995. I look forward to reading any messages from former WNTS and PSTS boys.
