I was 101 from 1957 to 1959 and remember your grandad well.he was a lovely man and well respected by all.He did a fine job of turning tuneless nincompoops into genuine musicians. The band often went out on displays, and led us to a nearby church in the summers.he also took us for rifle shooting with 22 rifles at a range behind the swimming pool.he never made disparaging remarks to the boys.he always used to say that the groundsman came down from the playing fields limping last week,so make sure you aim at the target.
