She gives him a small smile. Squall let me feed off of him. I think we can call him a friend. When Shank nods his understanding, she helps him to his feet and onto the plush bed. You rest. I have to talk to Squall, okay? At his nod, she returns to the bathroom.

She softly closes the door behind her so as not to disturb her brother. She walks over to Squall and sits down cross-legged in front of him. Green gaze finds his and she tilts her head, auburn locks grazing her soft cheeks. So, how do you know about the blood connection? And if you're not a vampire, how can you read minds? she asks softly....
