Hello ladies. I hope all is well. I am a 25 year old business woman and I have a unique request. First, let me tell you a little bit about myself and why I need your help. I graduated college in 2004 and knew exactly what I wanted to do for my career. I got out of school and luckily, I landed a job! Unfortunately I saw how much all my friends around me struggled to get a desirable job in the field they really wanted. I still have friends that are graduating with degrees and are clueless as to what they "do now". I have decided to write a book on my experience and some of my other friends that have been successful at landing the jobs they wanted. Now, from you, I would like any stories/advice/tips/encouraging words/trial and tribulations/bad experiences, etc that will help me to formulate a tools of the trade for young college graduates. Be specific if something really worked in your favor or even against your favor! I would love to hear it! I hope to include into my stories for success REAL actual stories from REAL young women. If I find that your story really impacts young women, I would definitely be happy to include it into my findings and we could work together to see how that could advantage everyone. Hello!

I'm a European Business Student from Dublin. I am currently writing my bachelor thesis on services of low-fare airlines. As I wanna capture the customers preferences I set up a survey each of you could answer. I guess you've all been flying with a low-fare carrier before.

Stepford Wives controversy -- Kathryn, 18:27:34 06/08/04 Tue

I saw that there are some feminists up-in-arms about seeing Condoleeza Rice and Hilary Clinton "Stepfordized" in promotion of The Stepford Wives movie coming out next Friday. I'm a feminist and I certainly was not offended. It's satire! The movie looks hilarious and I'm a big Nicole Kidman fan so it certainly is not going to keep me from going.

the name of this site does tell something already... haven't gone deep into the site but sure i won't expect it to be an empowering site for women in any sense. backlashs are coming back in so many forms.

dear ladies from young women forum, i am thuy from hamburg/germany and i am glad to hear that something will change in south east asia. i am happy to see women raise up their voice for a better future. the world wouldn't be our world full of mistakes and intolerance if we had not to fight for it. i am still keeping in my mind the vision that one day women in asia get more freedom and can decide how and who they love. it will be a long way but your conference is the first step to encourage some women over there. may your strength enlighten the way of thousands of women in asia.
what about organizing an own ladyfest in hongkong?
i am part of the ladyfest hamburg organisation team and we want to invite the first all girlpunk band from beijing this summer. it is so important to help asian women to scream out their yearnings and anger. no matter if in music, art or performance. if everything goes the way we wish to they will have a gig at our ladyfest in august. i hope the government of china will give us the permission for a visa for the band HANG ON THE BOX (www.sister.co.jp) . are there any special conditions for the visa we have to consider as feminists (and the government won't tell us)? thank you.
